Apparently, the seductive and deadly kunachi (female ninja) are not the last in the list of Japanese sexual fetishes, holding on par with “uniform girls” like maids or nurses, precocious high school girls and sexy nekas. Our magazine has mentioned more than one anime in which these ladies acted as main characters, including “Blood Shadow”, “Kage”, and even a funny parody called “Karakuri Ninja Girl”. In my opinion, the main emphasis here is on the notorious “sex and violence”, when one constantly complements the other.
In this two-part OVA, the authors decided to tell about the dramatic time of the Japanese revolution – the collapse of the shogunate government. Japan is in turmoil. The country is overflowing with young revolutionaries, with whom the regime, losing power, is waging a merciless struggle, sparing no effort or means. One of these “means” is a group of female ninjas, engaged in the destruction of revolutionary leaders who posed the greatest threat. Of course, it is much easier for a pretty woman to get close to a man, using her body as bait, and then finish him off with one blow. But some of the kunachichi got too close to their targets … and then the very force that people call love came into play. A force that does not care about politics, power and intrigue. After which the events begin to develop with particular drama, because those giving orders do not care about the feelings of the executor.
The drawing in the OVA is done at a good level, and does not hurt the eyes. High detail and good character design are evident. However, Milky has understood well “what is the strength” since the release of the Black Bible and firmly follows the slogan “NO hackwork in hentai!”, at least in terms of animation.
Overall, if you put the sex aside, this OVA is another brutal samurai story where blood flows like a river and the presence of bed scenes is one of the components.
